About The Position

The Senior Manager, Field Strategy & Operations is a highly versatile, plays a critical support role in ensuring the seamless execution of commercial strategies and operational processes. This role provides hands-on support to the Associate Directors of Field Strategy and Field Operations, assisting in the execution of key initiatives, standardizing processes, and ensuring alignment between commercial objectives and field execution. As a developmental opportunity, this position offers broad exposure to both strategic and operational functions within the commercial organization. The individual in this role will support field strategy by helping translate insights into execution and aid field operations by optimizing processes, tools, and communications that enable the field to perform at its best. This role requires strong collaboration, problem-solving, and executional excellence to ensure that all aspects of field strategy, operations, and execution work together to drive business success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical experience
  • Prior experience in field based or commercial operations, sales strategy, business planning, or related field within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
  • Strong ability to work cross-functionally, manage multiple priorities, and drive execution in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills with a focus on operational excellence
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, analytics dashboards, and field reporting systems preferred.
  • Ability to translate data and insights into clear, actionable execution plans
  • Highly adaptable, with a strong willingness to learn and grow within a developmental role
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in driving process improvements and executional efficiency

Responsibilities

  • Support Field Strategy Execution: Assist the Associate Director, Field Strategy in translating key commercial insights into clear, actionable execution plans for the field, ensuring alignment with brand objectives. Identify areas of need and confirm alignment to brand strategy Facilitate troubleshooting and resolution of issues
  • Readiness & Activation: Identify and help drive field readiness for new strategic initiatives, partnering with enablement, sales leadership, and CEOps to ensure timely communication, clarity, and execution support
  • Cross-Team Coordination: Partner with EOP, ETP, and RTP teams to ensure they are equipped to drive pull-through of new tools, updates, and trainings at the regional and territory levels, enabling seamless execution at all levels of the field organization Lead cross-functional meetings to ensure timely execution of deliverables Provide guidance and training to ensure consistent understanding and execution of key initiatives with the field
  • Enhance Operational Efficiency: Work closely with the Associate Director, Field Operations to optimize processes, tools, and workflows, ensuring seamless execution and minimal disruption to the field.
  • Strategic Workshops or Business Reviews: Help prepare for and participate in business reviews, leadership forums, or planning workshops, by creating templates, synthesizing insights and aligning outputs to future actions
  • Strategic Field Communications Planning: Support the packaging and distribution of field communications, ensuring updates on strategy, tools, and processes are clearly articulated, timely, and actionable. Lead field leadership calls
  • Project & Initiative Support: Provide hands-on support for key strategic and operational initiatives, helping to track progress, coordinate across teams, and drive execution.
  • Performance Tracking & Insights: Assist in monitoring field performance metrics and executional challenges, surfacing insights to improve efficiency and impact.
  • Issue Resolution & Field Support: Act as a problem-solving resource for field leadership, assisting in addressing executional challenges, incentive compensation concerns, and pull-through of brand priorities
  • Project Management & Execution: Lead and contribute to key projects and initiatives, ensuring timely execution, stakeholder alignment, and measurable impact on field operations and strategy
