About The Position

This role will be responsible for building, executing, and measuring Yelp's pipeline generation strategy through trade shows, local events, partnerships/sponsorships, and industry influencers. This role is not just an events manager, but rather, an expert at managing the before, during, and after of each activation Yelp participates in; from sales outreach, marketing email, and booked meetings before events, to pipeline reporting, sales follow up, and sharing learnings with Product and executives after events. It will also involve highly professional execution during events in partnership with Sales, partners, and event contractors. You will build our annual activation calendar across restaurants, retail, home services, ecommerce, DTC, and more, and measure the impact of the programs we execute. Beyond trade shows and events, this role is responsible for developing an influencer network and content distribution program that generates Mid-Market and Enterprise opportunities through the trusted voices of partners. You will develop an industry strategy, recruit influencer partners, work with legal on contracting, develop content, and build unique distribution plans to reach Mid-Market and Enterprise advertising decision makers with influencer content in a measurable manner. This role owns making sure Yelp is a valuable member of the Mid-Market and Enterprise restaurants, retail, ecomm, DTC, and home services ecosystems. This role reports to the Sr. Director, Business Marketing. We’d love to have you apply, even if you don’t feel you meet every single requirement in this posting. At Yelp, we’re looking for great people, not just those who simply check off all the boxes. This is a full-time remote role based in the United States.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in event marketing; ideally in a B2B SaaS or high-growth environment.
  • Highly organized, polished, and top tier program management skills when multiple events, shows, and influencer campaigns are happening at once.
  • Strong messaging, content, and GTM instincts. You know how to craft a compelling story and build full demand gen programs, not just one-off events.
  • Proven experience running trade shows and events end-to-end, from planning to onsite execution.
  • Comfortable collaborating across Sales, Creative, Product, Partners, and leadership.
  • Operational competence managing multiple vendors, budgets, timelines, shipping, and onsite problem-solving.
  • Experience with event platforms and tools (lead capture, registration systems, event portals, etc.).
  • A data-driven approach to pipeline, performance, and ROI.
  • Willingness to travel for key events (20-30% depending on event calendar).

Responsibilities

  • Own the trade show and events playbook: Develop and lead an events strategy that hits marketing and revenue goals — awareness, engagement, and pipeline. Choose where we show up, why it matters, and how we win.
  • Run the full show: From owned conferences and executive dinners to trade shows and field events, you'll bring each format to life with the right approach for the audience and moment.
  • Handle core logistics: Coordinate shipping, booth assets, swag, event technology, and vendor wrangling alongside our logistics partner and internal creative teams.
  • Own the narrative: Define the messaging for each event and make sure every touchpoint is consistent with support from PMM and creative experts.
  • Keep everyone in sync: Partner with Sales, Partners, and Product to ensure everyone is working from the same goals, storylines, positioning, and outreach plan.
  • Make the marketing engine hum: Own pre and post event outreach and collaborate with Sales on SLAs. Spin up landing pages and booking flows with support from web and creative. Integrate events into lifecycle and integrated campaigns when possible.
  • Track what matters: Measure pipeline impact in scans, meetings, and opportunities. Produce clear, actionable event recaps with insights and next steps.
  • Build Yelp’s influencer approach: Recruit a roster of influencers and partners and build a distribution plan targeting Mid-Market and Enterprise decision makers that haven’t thought of Yelp as a recent partner.
