Requirements

  • 5-10 years of professional experience in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals, or Nutraceuticals required
  • Demonstrated experience in external communications, PR, and media relations, with a strong B2B focus; corporate communications experience required.
  • Strong copywriting, editing, research, and content development skills, including ability to translate complex technical topics for external audiences.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships across internal teams and with external media; confident communicating with senior leadership.
  • Experience managing PR campaigns and securing proactive media coverage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail, plus strong problem‑solving abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field required.
  • Must reside within a commutable distance of one of our CHI locations: Tampa, FL; Greenwood, SC; Morristown, NJ; or Cohasset, MA.
  • Requires limited travel (up to 10%).

Responsibilities

  • Lead proactive media relations efforts to position Lonza Capsugel as a trusted, go‑to source for industry journalists.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key media, influencers, and internal stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Drive PR campaign development, supporting product launches, thought leadership, and strategic storytelling in the B2B space.
  • Create high-quality written content including press releases, articles, blogs, and external communications materials.
  • Develop and maintain internal newsletters to highlight achievements and engage global marketing teams.
  • Conduct research, gather technical insights, and translate complex information into compelling narratives.
  • Develop and implement crisis communication plans, serving as the primary media contact during sensitive events.
