Job Summary Establishes operational objectives, policies, procedures and work plans and delegates assignments to subordinates. Develops, modifies and executes company policies that affect immediate operations and may also have company-wide effect. Accountable for department budget which may be broad and have far reaching impact on the business segment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 12 years of related experience or equivalent work experience (12+).
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manages experienced-level professionals and/or may be responsible for subordinate managers.
  • Manages team to work safely, effectively and with high regard to human error avoidance.
  • Manages personnel details including salaries, positioning, hire/fire, reviews, coaching and development.
  • Leads in project management and incident resolution.
  • Plans, coordinates, approves budgets, and implements resources to complete projects and maintenance within the data centers.
  • Overall site and/or multi-site capacity management.
  • Manages the team to ensure completion to Equinix's required standards, (KPI's) Key Performance Indicators and (SLA's) Service Level Agreements.
  • Ensures correct processes are followed and all documentation is complete.
  • Takeover of new builds and building infrastructure.
  • Approves all (MOP) Maintenance Operation Protocol scripts and permits.
  • Participates as part of the new facility/infrastructure design team.
  • Communicates and coordinates activities and on-site staff during a complex or severe customer-impacting incident.
  • Drives root cause analysis and provides a clear direction.
  • Drives approval for incident resolution.
