About The Position

The North American Service Business (NASB) is looking for a Data Analytics & Insights Senior Manager to empower the various teams it supports with analytics and insights to enable them to make data driven decisions. The Data Analytics & Insights Team (DAI) inside of NASB supports the service partnership group (SPG), the Products Group (PG) and Samsung Ads. The SPG handles all partnerships and revenues associated with the ecosystem of OTT content service providers, content licensing partners, and product partners on the Samsung Smart TV platform and mobile platform. The PG develops service products such as The Art Store, Gaming Hub, Samsung News, Samsung Weather and the Galaxy Store. Samsung Ads is in charge of our on-platform ads operations and sales. This role will leverage Samsung’s data on its various platforms to understand partner and product performance and further the team’s mission to help ensure the best possible business outcomes. Specifically, this role will focus on supporting new business opportunities, uncovering ways to optimize existing partnerships, as well as helping drive analyses of key strategic projects. The role will also drive forecasting, modeling, and performance analyses for our partnership deals. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, analytical, and solutions-focused with the ability to unravel internal complexity/ambiguity, navigate the organization, and come to a quick understanding of the business and the relevant data. Requirements

  • BA/BS required
  • 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, solve complex problems, and navigate large, global organizations
  • Passionate about technology and new media trends
  • Self-motivated, assertive, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Mastery of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Project management experience
  • Experience with SQL and Python/Pandas for data analytics
  • Experience with at least one BI system such as Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, Domo or similar

Responsibilities

  • Be a partner to our business development team with forecasting and modeling of future and existing partnership deals
  • Run in-depth analysis on partner or product related strategic projects
  • Become an expert on the Samsung data available to the group and strive to increase our access to further relevant sources of data inside and outside of Samsung
  • Be a subject matter expert on our partners and deals and provide solutions to improve both the business and the processes that drive our business
  • Create automation and process streamlining to simplify our stakeholder’s work
  • Create impactful and easy to understand data visualizations
  • Coordinate with different functions across the organization e.g. marketing, Samsung Ads or other business units, as necessary, to drive team goals
