To expand our impact, we are looking for a Senior Data Analysis & Insights Manager to join our dynamic Long-Term Care Strategic Insights team. This role will utilize data expertise, critical thinking, curiosity, and effective communication to deliver actionable insights and guide business strategies, supporting key initiatives that will reshape the long-term care insurance landscape. As the Senior Data Analysis & Insights Manager, your responsibilities will include developing data strategies and recommendations, demonstrating thought leadership, managing complex projects, building relationships, leading and mentoring team members, and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate should have advanced analytical and business intelligence skills, along with several years of experience leading individuals and creating a cohesive, high-performing data analytics team. You will also be expected to learn and adapt to new data analytics technologies, tools, and methodologies as they evolve. A broad set of technical and business skills, combined with curiosity and a passion for data, are essential for this role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an analytical or technical discipline
  • At least 2 years of direct leadership experience with proven ability to develop your team and execute strategy.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Business Intelligence analyst, data analyst, data modeler, or data scientist in a dynamic environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience developing visualizations using Business Intelligence tools with Power BI highly preferred (i.e., Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire, etc) with proficiency in Semantic Models, data sources, and publishing to production.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with SQL, including authoring highly complex queries to extract and analyzing large data sets utilizing Rational Database Management System (RDBMS) technologies (i.e. SQL server, Greenplum, Oracle)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in scripting languages, such as Python or R.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, including developing pivot tables, linking to external data sources, and automating tasks with VBA.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of direct leadership experience and 8+ years of analyst experience
  • Master’s degree in related field
  • Cloud Computing experience, including migrating legacy data systems to Azure or AWS cloud platforms.
  • Database/ETL experience developing and maintaining SQL Server databases and ETL pipelines, supporting seamless integration of diverse data sources
  • Advanced analytical and modeling data experience utilizing Python and/or R
  • Alteryx experience automating complex data preparation workflows, streamlining ETL processes and improving data accuracy for analytics and reporting.
  • Experience with big data technologies (i.e. Databricks, Synapse, Snowflake, AWS/Azure, etc…)
  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and AI models
  • Long Term Care Insurance product & claims process knowledge applied to in-depth understanding of LTC insurance products and claims workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Partnering with leadership to execute a robust strategy that integrates data and Insights into all aspects of the organization.
  • Creating and managing Business Intelligence and analytics solutions that transformed raw data into actionable knowledge, including the deployment of enterprise-wide dashboards and self-service analytics tools.
  • Leading the migration of manual reporting and reconciliation processes into automated, scalable solutions, significantly reducing turnaround time and error rates for critical business reports.
  • Developing use cases for data-related projects and collaborating closely with IT & Operational teams to implement end-to-end solutions, including the migration of legacy data sources and manual reporting processes to automated pipelines.
  • Directly supporting strategic initiatives for new business intelligence use cases, such as automating control reporting and enabling advanced analytics.
  • Collaborating with business partners to understand their problems and goals, gather business requirements, and developing analytical solutions to support their vision and strategy
  • Working with cross-departmental teams to gather and clarify data analysis and reporting requirements, ensuring alignment on metrics, methodologies, and success criteria for strategic projects.
  • Partnering with other team members within the organization to complete complex project work, with a focus on mentoring to develop the skills, capabilities, and passions necessary to successfully drive and sustain a data focused culture. This will include direct or indirect management of analysts with varying skillsets including but not limited to: Business Intelligence, Data Analysis, and Data Science
  • Defining, developing, and providing insights, metrics, and analysis to drive the decision-making process and supporting business strategy for internal and external customers
  • Facilitating a data-driven, statistical approach to problem solving, including gathering, analyzing, and reporting data
  • Solving complex problems utilizing creative solutions and new perspectives
  • Becoming an expert in assigned business processes, including upstream and downstream implications. Relates business process to financial performance measures and analysis.
  • Leading and executing process and data improvement projects
  • Conducting research and analysis to quantify business opportunities and issues; leads execution and implementation
  • Influencing all levels of an organization to support projects and/or ideas
  • Measuring and validating project results, and successfully implementing all facets of data modeling and data reporting
