As a Senior Manager in Cyber Governance and Risk at Capital One, you will drive efforts that align with Cyber’s strategy for high priority projects for the company. In this role, you will develop and lead innovative, data-driven appoaches to strengthening Capital One’s security posture and will drive effective cybersecurity risk management and due diligence approaches while supporting business imperatives. We are seeking an individual that thrives working cross-functionally, and understands how to work with smart and passionate people to deliver results that have a direct impact on the company’s bottom line. From day one, you will work on high-visibility initiatives working with key stakeholders across the company to support the business through effective cyber risk management. Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
  • At least 6 years of experience in cybersecurity and risk management

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 7 years of experience in multiple cybersecurity domains (identity and access management, zero trust architecture, cloud security)
  • 10+ years of Project Management experience
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification
  • PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification

Responsibilities

  • Leading moderate to large complex projects and programs by providing strategic direction to projects, peers, and cross-functional partners.
  • Designing, developing, and managing project plans in a complex dynamic environment, revising needs to meet changing requirements
  • Using problem solving and influencing skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent
  • Partnering cross-functionally with customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership that drives effective project delivery
  • Building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders across Cyber and Capital One to ensure delivery of commitments
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management and process development/implementation, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment.
  • Display a passion for coaching and mentoring associates
  • Have excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes
