In this role, you’ll turn products into personalities by crafting names that stand out, taglines that stick, and manifestos that inspire. Partnering closely with design, strategy, and marketing, you’ll bring a unified, emotionally resonant voice to brands that span everything from fashion to food to toys. Manage Multiple Projects: Work on diverse tasks such as: Crafting positioning statements and brand personalities. Generating brand names with writers. Writing and refining brand manifestos and taglines. Presenting work to cross-functional partners and leadership. Collaborating with legal teams to clear names and language for use. Naming Expertise: Develop names for new brands, initiatives, and products across the enterprise. Apply knowledge of legal parameters and best practices for naming. Generate creative names quickly across various business areas. Brand Advocacy: Champion Walmart’s brand and customer-centric approach. Stay informed on industry trends, best practices, and competitive landscape. Translate business objectives into actionable creative ideas. Stakeholder Collaboration: Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders. Communicate goals and objectives clearly. Build accountability, measure progress, and promote continuous learning. Creative Leadership: Represent the creative leadership team confidently. Ask critical questions, challenge the status quo, and defend creative work. Partner with Creative Directors to eliminate barriers and deliver cohesive work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Marketing, Creative Writing, Advertising, Fine Arts, or related field and 1 year of experience in interactive design or editorial content management OR 3 years of experience in interactive design or editorial content management.
  • Online portfolio required.
  • 5 years of experience in creative, communications, and/or marketing execution.
  • 5 years managing copy in an online creative or digital field.
  • Strong organizational skills, ownership, and accountability.
  • Ability to lead projects, communicate effectively, and work independently.
  • Proactive and adaptable approach to evolving marketing, retail, and e-commerce demands.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and expectation management skills across partners.
