OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIESAct as the primary operational and technical lead under the Director, overseeing day to day close activities, supervising the Budapest team, and owning complex recurring analysis and high profile areas such as Board of Director Reporting and cash flow. Report to Director, Corporate Accounting in New York, with a dotted line to VP Controller, Corporate Accounting in New York.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA and/or Big 4 experience
  • 8+ years relevant accounting work experience
  • Strong and up-to-date accounting knowledge (US GAAP) and understanding of general accounting principles, concepts, and processes to be able to form a viewpoint on accounting and process matters
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, MS SharePoint)
  • Experience with ERP systems; Oracle a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight, coaching and performance management for Budapest Senior Expert and Senior Analyst and ensure timely accurate completion of close activities
  • Act as primary escalation point for close issues, judgmental items and Budapest related concerns
  • Own and review Board of Directors-related accounting, including deferred compensation MTM, interest, dividends, accruals
  • Coordinate Board related reporting including 1099 support and quarterly statements
  • Compile corporate jet personal use data for W2 and proxy reporting
  • Maintain schedules for other corporate matters and transaction costs
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly P&L cause of change analysis
  • Prepare “over/ under” schedules for reporting
  • Own corporate cash flow preparation and submission, including detailed analysis
  • Review lease accounting prepared by Budapest including Lease Accelerator data, contract accuracy and disclosures
  • Coordinate SOX testing and external audit support activities
