Introduction: The FP&A team is a fast-paced, high-impact team that partners with leaders across the company to manage Aurora’s near-term capital deployment to support commercialization of the Aurora Driver and ongoing product development. We are looking for a motivated, strategic thinker who can dive into the details across a wide range of topics, provide rigorous analysis, and partner with senior leaders to drive business decisions and outcomes. Aurora is building transformational products for the transportation industry, and this is an opportunity to be an integral part of guiding our commercialization. In this role, you will Manage and mentor the Corporate FP&A, G&A Business Finance, and Financial Systems & Business Intelligence team Lead our consolidated internal financial analysis, reporting, and Annual Planning processes Serve as a SME on factors affecting company financial performance and quickly become a trusted Finance Business Partner; influence leadership decision making, enhance financial discipline, and drive accountability Evolve business partnerships & alignment with other core finance functions, including Commercial, Product, IR, Accounting, Corp Dev, & Procurement Foster a culture of continual improvement and simplification of finance processes Execute strategic initiatives by working cross-functionally with stakeholders to develop ROI analyses, providing rigorous analysis and sound recommendations Up-level executive and senior leadership engagement with executive-level presentations and recommendations to Senior Leadership

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in management consulting, investment banking / private equity, or finance at a large company or high growth start-up
  • Degree in Finance or related quantitative field such as Business, Economics, Math, or Statistics
  • Experience scaling corporate FP&A functions by leveraging advanced FP&A tools and systems and corporate accounting systems (e.g. Pigment, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP)
  • Proven ability to partner with business leadership to develop and implement business strategies, budgets, and forecasts
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment; delivering on tight deadlines without sacrificing analytical rigor and at times working outside normal business hours
  • Experience preparing and presenting financial reporting for executive stakeholders
  • Proactive, self-motivated professional with exceptional analytical skills and ability to execute with limited supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to effectively communicate complex concepts in a succinct manner

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or CPA preferred
  • Prior work experience in automotive, autonomous vehicles, mobility, or logistics industries
  • Expert-level GSuite skills, particularly Google Sheets, Google Docs and Google Slides
  • Worked with and helped develop sophisticated FP&A tools that tie directly into corporate accounting systems; prior experience with Pigment is a plus
  • Extensive hands-on experience with at least one major BI visualization tool (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
  • Data warehouse, ETL process and SQL experience is a plus
