We are seeking a highly motivated accountant to join the Retail Bank Controllers Team as an Accounting Senior Manager with a focus on the oversight of change management risk, prioritization and delivery. You will be a self-starter responsible for the functional management of a small team while overseeing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast paced, time sensitive environment. This role will have the opportunity to engage with groups across the organization as part of new technology implementation, LOB initiatives, issue resolution and process improvement. Oversight of the Retail Bank Controllers Change Management, Prioritization and Project Delivery team, with ownership of managing large backlog of LOB, Enterprise and Finance initiatives Collaborate with internal and external partners to navigate and influence decisioning on competing priorities, evaluate and mitigate capacity/priority conflicts, and elevate risks Provide leadership, coaching and knowledge sharing for project management best practices Demonstrate strong People Leadership with a passion for coaching and developing a highly dynamic and cross-functional team of associates Have excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes including delivery of commitments Lead through change with an ability to both multitask and prioritize diverse tasks Understand customer expectations; current gaps & technical constraints; drive requirements and ultimately partner with the line of business and finance teams Leverage strong analytical and problem solving skills to ensure the initiative delivers on intent Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment Provide support for audit, risk and compliance groups as necessary

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or military experience
  • At least 7 years of experience in accounting, finance, audit, or a combination
  • At least 4 years of experience in project management OR product management
  • At least 4 years of people management experience

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of banking or finance industry experience
  • At least 1 year of experience implementing process improvement projects
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain effectiveness in constantly changing environment
  • Analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to integrate information from different sources to solve problems and improve processes
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), or Lean or Agile Certifications (Product Owner, or Agile Project Mgmt, or SAFe Scaled Agilist)
