Scope of Position The Electrical Engineer provides technical support for product design, manufacturing execution, and field applications. The engineer solves moderately complex engineering problems, influences operational decisions within the department, and plays a key role in implementing design improvements and sustaining activities. Collaboration, continuous learning, and hands‑on investigation are essential to success in this role. This position reports to the Engineering Manager. This role is onsite and is based in Fort Myers, Florida.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 3+ years of in-depth experience with commercial electrical and electronic devices and their systems.
  • Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience in the design and specification of electrical controls equipment
  • Experience conducting root cause analyses and implementing solutions
  • In depth knowledge of Microsoft 365, specifically Excel
  • Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment

  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment, which may include, but is not limited to, safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses.

Responsibilities

  • Support sustaining engineering and new product development through hands‑on electrical engineering tasks.
  • Deliver assigned project milestones on time, following established project plans.
  • Develop and execute production and test plans for electrical devices and systems.
  • Create, modify, and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Modify, interpret, and occasionally develop basic firmware or embedded code under guidance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex electrical and mechanical issues.
  • Contribute to new product and technology development across multiple platforms.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and product teams using core electrical and controls engineering principles.
  • Apply working knowledge of engineering systems, standards, and operational processes.
  • Provide required engineering deliverables within the stage‑gate process.
  • Support commissioning activities and understand customer requirements to ensure proper controller operation.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively and clearly communicate progress in a team‑oriented environment.
  • Participate in huddles, scrums, and project meetings as required.
  • Stay current on industry practices and apply new learning to improve engineering processes.
  • Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager or Company management.
