About The Position

The Senior Manager, Construction Superintendent, leads daily onsite operations by supervising subcontractors and field personnel to ensure project plans and quality standards are met. About the team: Our team operates within Walmart Realty, overseeing all construction projects across Walmart US. We lead onsite operations by coordinating subcontractors and field personnel to ensure projects meet design, quality, and safety standards. The team manages scheduling, site logistics, and regulatory inspections to maintain efficient workflows and compliance. Emphasizing safety assurance and quality control, we implement proactive measures and training to uphold site safety. Through effective communication and coordination, the team supports timely project delivery while fostering continuous improvement and adherence to company policies and standards.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience leading onsite construction operations with proven ability to supervise subcontractors and field personnel effectively.
  • Strong skills in coordination, communication, and documentation to ensure alignment and timely resolution of conflicts.
  • Expertise in developing and maintaining schedules and sequencing to meet timelines and quality standards.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction site safety, safety assurance, and safety training to enforce compliance with OSHA and company protocols. Conduct thorough inspections, audits, and implement corrective actions to uphold safety culture and quality control.
  • Proficient at managing site logistics, material deliveries, and equipment placement to optimize workflow and minimize delays.
  • Skilled in preparing progress reports and communicating updates to stakeholders.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 85% of the time.
  • 5 years’ direct field supervision experience in construction, including experience in subcontractor oversight and onsite management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in site logistics, daily scheduling, safety enforcement, and trade coordination.
  • Demonstrated experience in construction means and methods, with proven ability to resolve field issues and deliver projects safely and on schedule.

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related area, OSHA 30 certification or equivalent field-safety credentials.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate daily logs, progress reports, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
  • Provide supervision, mentoring, and development opportunities to build a high-performing team.
