A Senior Manager within our Disputes, Claims, and Investigations group leads complex consulting engagements across a wide range of industries and serves as a key advisor to clients and engagement leadership. Senior Managers are responsible for the strategic oversight and execution of sophisticated economic damages analyses and related financial analyses in both litigation and settlement contexts. Engagements frequently involve large and complex insurance coverage disputes, including property damage, business interruption, product/general liability, D&O, cyber, and other specialty coverage matters. Senior Managers also lead and oversee fraud and forensic engagements, including forensic investigations and economic damages analyses in complex commercial litigation and other high-stakes business disputes. Senior Managers are integral members of engagement leadership teams, working closely with Partners and Managing Directors while providing direct leadership to Managers, Associates, and Analysts. The role requires strong technical expertise, project leadership, client management skills, and the ability to mentor and develop junior professionals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field
  • 2–5 years of relevant professional experience in accounting, finance, or economics; preferred experience includes litigation consulting, forensic accounting, fraud investigation, professional/public accounting, and/or assurance/audit
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience building financial models using Excel and other data analysis tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop and critique alternative arguments and opinions
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in response to changing, client-driven deadlines
  • Apply strong organizational skills to manage competing priorities and multiple engagements
  • Collaborate effectively with engagement leaders and team members while embodying Stout’s core values: Positive and Team-Oriented, Accountable, Committed, Relationship-Focused, Super-Responsive, and Great Communicators
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to delivering Relentless Excellence® in client service and team collaboration

Responsibilities

  • Lead or co-lead the day-to-day execution of engagements, with primary responsibility for coordinating and executing engagement workplans
  • Oversee the development of engagement analyses, including financial analysis and modeling, to deliver high-quality, defensible results
  • Manage document organization processes, including the review, organization, and analysis of case documentation, testimony, and court filings to identify relevant information
  • Support the development and career growth of Analysts and Associates, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment
  • Support client relationships by building trust through clear communication, responsiveness, and value-driven solutions
  • Collaborate with engagement leaders to develop engagement strategies, create workplans, monitor progress, and communicate critical path items
  • Perform company, industry, and case-specific research, including technical, economic, accounting, and market research, to support analyses and conclusions
  • Prepare and review written reports, presentations, and graphical exhibits to clearly communicate findings
  • Analyze financial statements, accounting records, tax returns, and other financial documents to identify key insights across multiple engagements
