About The Position

Toyota's Enterprise AI Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Senior Manager, AI Agentic Workforce & Orchestration Strategy. The primary responsibility of this role is to design and drive Toyota's enterprise strategy for human-AI collaboration, defining how employees and AI agents work together to improve operations, elevate decision-making, and unlock productivity across every business unit. The person in this role will operate as a senior individual contributor who sets the cross-company blueprint for AI-enabled work, partners with divisional leaders to localize and deploy it, and establishes the measures that prove impact and guide continuous improvement. Reporting to the General Manager, AI Engineering & Ethics, the person in this role will support the Enterprise AI department's objective to accelerate AI adoption across Toyota's operations, enhancing efficiency and creating impactful AI-driven solutions. This position is based in Plano, TX. The selected candidate will be expected to reside within a commutable distance of this location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10+ years leading enterprise-wide operating model or workforce transformation programs with measurable outcomes across multiple business units.
  • Delivered at least three large-scale process redesigns that achieved quantified improvements in cost, quality, or cycle time, validated by before-and-after KPIs.
  • Demonstrated experience specifying and deploying human-in-the-loop or workflow orchestration systems, including measurement plans and operational guardrails.
  • Built and executed change enablement at scale for 500+ employees, including role-based training, adoption targets, and effectiveness metrics.
  • Authored enterprise playbooks and standards adopted by 3+ divisions, with governance mechanisms for sustainability and continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior design and rollout of AI agents or automation frameworks integrated with enterprise systems, achieving statistically significant productivity or quality gains.
  • Experience in automotive, manufacturing, supply chain, retail, or field operations with demonstrated alignment to safety, compliance, and quality management systems.
  • Created capability maturity models and competency frameworks for AI-augmented roles, including assessment and certification.
  • Led multi-phase pilot programs with control groups and achieved documented ROI within two quarters from initial deployment.
  • Relevant certifications in AI project management or delivery preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Define the enterprise operating model for human-AI collaboration: roles, responsibilities, interaction patterns, escalation and oversight, and guardrails for safe and effective use.
  • Lead the strategy and governance for AI orchestration frameworks (e.g., Model Context Protocol and future context or coordination architectures): define how contextual data, tools, and agent capabilities are standardized, orchestrated, and version-controlled across divisions; establish enterprise principles for scalable AI interoperability
  • Map and prioritize high-value workflows across divisions; design target-state processes that blend human expertise with AI and automation; build adoption playbooks and rollout plans.
  • Specify the AI agent orchestration layer requirements, including task routing, handoffs, human-in-the-loop checkpoints, quality gates, and performance telemetry.
  • Establish enterprise change framework: capability maturity model, training curricula, role-based enablement, coaching plans, and certification for AI-augmented roles.
  • Build the value measurement system: baseline current-state KPIs, define outcome and efficiency metrics, instrument pilots, and run controlled rollouts to validate impact and ROI.
  • Partner with HR, Operations, IT, Legal, Privacy, and Responsible AI to align policies, job architectures, competency models, and safeguards; ensure auditable evidence and compliance.
  • Develop a portfolio roadmap and sequencing plan by division; design lighthouse pilots, scale-up criteria, and playbooks to accelerate adoption across business units.
