About The Position

The Senior Manager, Alliance Development supports the advancement of Bristol Myers Squibb’s strategic alliance and issues advocacy initiatives. This role is responsible for coordinating and executing stakeholder engagement strategies across the BMS portfolio, ensuring alignment with US Policy & Government Affairs and broader enterprise objectives as well as supporting the internal tracking, reporting, and budgeting for the Alliance Development team. The position requires a strategic thinker with policy fluency and excellent relationship-building skills.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in pharmaceuticals, public policy, or stakeholder engagement.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Proven success in leading cross-functional programs and external partnerships.
  • Exceptional ability to design, launch, and operationalize new strategic initiatives.
  • Superior written, presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to engage and influence diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with integrated communications channels and tactics.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Thrives in fast-paced, matrixed environments with competing priorities

Responsibilities

  • Own internal tracking, reporting, budgeting, and communications to showcase the team’s collective impact on policy and community engagement.
  • Proactively build and nurture external networks to advance policy goals and facilitate patient access.
  • Support integrated strategic policy plans that advance both immediate business needs and long-term organizational priorities.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with key organizations, ensuring clear accountabilities and measurable goals.
  • Plan and deliver BMS-led Strategic Alliance policy forums and events; drive content, outreach and follow-through
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure strategic alignment and operational excellence across advocacy and alliance initiatives
  • Support efforts on complex legislative and regulatory issues, leveraging knowledge of company policies and stakeholder relationships.
