Position: Senior Manager, Advanced Analytics Job Location: 10900 NE 4th Street, Floor 8, Bellevue, WA 98004 Duties: Consults with senior leadership and business partners to understand overall goals/functional objectives, decipher key business challenges, identify tactics to anticipate and mitigate business challenges/issues and develop potential success criteria. Focuses efforts on items that have maximum impact to the business. Contributes to business area strategic planning by providing input and actionable recommendations and solutions to senior leadership based on advanced research and analytical findings. Coaches team members and provides feedback to enhance skills, knowledge and work performance. Conducts performance and career development conversations, if applicable. Maintains team motivation and engagement. Mentors less experienced associates and managers. Owns complex projects end-to-end for a business area, category or prototype. Manages risk associated with implementation. Develops data models (algorithms, approaches) for complex projects within a business area or category to drive business results and value. Collaborates with project team to implement modeling solutions. Manages the development and implementation of prototypes and production-ready complex algorithms for complex projects. Manages the testing and validation process to monitor the solution. Evaluates new data analysis techniques to support prototype development. Collaborates with cross-functional partners (e.g., software engineering, category management) on prototypes and algorithms. Leads the development and execution of advanced analytics to address unique business and technical problems, and support data-driven decision making. Makes strategic recommendations to cross-functional leadership based on analysis results. Collaborates across all analytics functions to develop and implement data analysis strategies and anticipate future trends and analysis. Collaborates with functional leadership and cross-functional teams (e.g., Categories, Customer Experience, Merchandising) to develop consultative solutions for complex projects for a business area, category or prototype. Collaborates and partners with external business partners and vendors. Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. This position does not supervise employees. Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or the equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Financial Engineering, or related field and 2 years of experience in data analytics or related field; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Financial Engineering, or related field and 4 years of experience in data analytics or related field. Skills required: Experience with data storing, processing, and automation in relational databases using SQL, Hive, Hadoop, and MapReduce. Experience building regression models and casual inference models in the Python programming language. Experience with predictive modeling using machine learning models to segment customers and optimize spend. Experience with Machine Learning techniques including pattern recognition, predictive modeling, logistic regression, and cluster and segmentation analysis to forecast customer behavior and create strategies. Experience with R programming language to conduct parametric analysis, build statistical models, and automate reporting processes. Experience using data visualization tools, including Tableau and Looker, for Business Analysis and Reporting. Experience making recommendations on new user features using methodologies, including Hypothesis Testing, Experiment Design, A/B testing, Sampling, Randomization, Correlation and Causation analysis, switchbacks, Focus Groups, Surveys, Case Study Research, and Text Coding. Experience conducting data analysis and building forecasting models. Experience with Business Intelligence and Strategy building in the Retail Industry. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills. Salary Range: $163,322/year to $216,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
