About The Position

As an Implementation Manager for the Assortment Planning (AP) platform, you will lead the enterprise rollout, adoption, and continuous improvement of Walmart's next-generation planning platform that powers how merchants plan, select, and manage product assortments. You'll bridge strategy and execution by driving alignment between business, design, product, and technology teams while ensuring that the platform scales effectively across categories and user groups. This role blends program management, change leadership, and product enablement to ensure our platform delivers measurable business value and evolves with the needs of our merchants and suppliers. Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years leading enterprise-scale technology or platform implementations within retail, product, or technology organizations.
  • Strategic Execution: Proven success driving large, cross-functional rollouts that deliver measurable adoption and ROI.
  • Leadership: Experience leading teams and influencing at senior levels across business, product, and technology functions.
  • AI & Automation Savvy: Understanding of how AI, analytics, and automation can enhance user enablement, helpdesk functions, and continuous improvement.
  • Change Management: Deep experience in designing and executing change management, communication, and training programs for enterprise tools.
  • Analytical Acumen: Ability to connect operational outcomes (efficiency, data quality, adoption) to business KPIs and platform goals.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field required; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related field and 4 years' experience in data analytics or related field OR 6 years'experience in data analytics or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Implementation and Rollout
  • Own the end-to-end delivery of the Assortment Planning platform across categories and business units from onboarding through steady-state adoption.
  • Define near-term and long-term success metrics (e.g., adoption, efficiency, user satisfaction) and use them to guide decision-making.
  • Step into active implementations to assess strategy and execution, identifying where to pivot or reinforce current approaches.
  • Enable Scalable Platform Growth
  • Partner with Product and Change Management teams to design sustainable rollout frameworks, automate onboarding processes, and embed continuous improvement practices.
  • Establish governance mechanisms that track performance, manage enhancements, and align priorities across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Drive Cross-Functional Alignment
  • Bring together users, tech teams, product managers, and supplier partners around shared outcomes and success metrics.
  • Translate complex technical or operational details into clear business impact stories that resonate across audiences.
  • Champion AI-Driven Adoption and Support
  • Identify opportunities for AI and automation to improve user experience such as tool tips, onboarding guides, and self-serve troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with Data Science and Product to operationalize these features, ensuring measurable improvements in adoption and satisfaction.
  • Operationalize Feedback and Continuous Improvement
  • Build a structured intake and triage system for tool feedback, tickets, and enhancement requests.
  • Prioritize issues and enhancements based on impact, feasibility, and strategic alignment by balancing short-term needs with long-term roadmap goals.
  • Lead Change and Communication
  • Develop and deliver change management strategies that ensure successful adoption across diverse merchant and supplier audiences.
  • Partner with merchandising business teams to provide transparent updates, user education, and success storytelling.
