Job Summary & Responsibilities Position Summary: The Manager/Senior Manager of Accounting oversees the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and efficient management of accounting processes. This role is responsible for leading a team of accountants and collaborating across departments to support financial planning and decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g. Oracle).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a publicly traded or global company.
  • Familiarity with SOX compliance.
  • Advanced Excel skills and data analysis capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee daily operations of the general accounting function, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, fixed assets, intercompany, and payroll.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), and other regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with external auditors, legal counsel, and internal stakeholders to support audit and compliance activities.
  • Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Support ERP system upgrades and financial system integrations.
