About The Position

Senior Manager, Accounting: Close & Consolidations (Hybrid) We are looking for an experienced people leader that is interested in working at a collaborative fast paced financial services company to lead our Close & Consolidations team. This person will be responsible for ensuring we have well managed close, consolidations, legal entity, and intercompany processes. They will also play a central role in acquisitions / divestitures and the transition to a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. We are looking for someone that is able to balance their accounting policy, operational, and system expertise to lead the team through a number of exciting initiatives, build relationships, and provide thought leadership into our future state vision.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or military experience
  • At least 7 years of experience in accounting, audit, finance, or a combination
  • At least 2 years experience in of people management
  • At least 1 year of experience leading a Close & Consolidations process

Nice To Haves

  • Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
  • At least 8 years of experience in accounting, or audit or finance, or a combination
  • At least 3 years experience in of people management
  • At least 5 years of experience with financial institutions
  • At least 3 years experience leading a Close & Consolidations team

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of motivated associates responsible for overseeing our month end close process and delivering well managed consolidated and legal entity financial statements
  • Lead team in driving a number of exciting initiatives and system enhancements, including acquisitions / divestitures and the transition to a new ERP system
  • Lead team in building well managed intercompany loan / transaction process and provide technical accounting expertise around complex legal entity structures
  • Include, inspire, and empower associates. Actively support training, development, and evaluation of associates to build / maintain a high-performing, cohesive team
  • Build relationships, collaborate, and partner cross-functionally with customers and key stakeholders, including accounting systems and technology partners
