The Senior Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. This role serves as a technical leader within the maintenance team, supporting preventative maintenance programs, mentoring junior mechanics, and ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred
- 7+ years of industrial or facilities maintenance experience, with demonstrated advanced troubleshooting skills
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including motors, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Working knowledge of electrical systems (PLC experience a plus)
- Ability to use precision measuring tools and maintenance software (CMMS experience preferred)
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and lead maintenance efforts when required
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50lbs
- Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights, and in industrial environments
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed

- Experience in lean manufacturing or reliability-centered maintenance

Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex mechanical and electromechanical equipment
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime
- Lead and support maintenance activities on production equipment, utilities, and facility systems
- Identify root causes of equipment failures and recommend corrective actions
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and technical documentation
- Install, modify, and upgrade equipment and machinery as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders
- Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to maintenance staff
- Coordinate with operations, engineering, and external vendors as required
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
