The Senior Maintenance Technician supports operation, inspection, and maintenance processes to mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities. Assists engineering teams in maintenance and repair efforts, as well as independently performing defined tasks. Performs inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including walls and flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, etc. You will work as part of an engineering team at a laboratory and manufacturing site. This position requires the Senior Maintenance Technician to be on-site. Local market requirements may vary slightly.

Requirements

1-3 years of related work experience, especially in repair, maintenance, plumbing, electrical or carpentry
1-3 years of HVAC, plumbing and electrical experience
Maintenance experience in a laboratory or manufacturing plant facility
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall
Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneeling, lift and/or drive
Strong customer service skills

Nice To Haves

Maryland 2nd grade Stationary Engineer license or higher preferred
Trade school, union training, military service or college is desirable

Responsibilities

Assist the engineering team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment
Complete assigned tasks that include but are not limited to: painting, pressure cleaning, minor plumbing repairs, locksmith work, tenant services requests and general maintenance
General interior maintenance – hang pictures, install keyboard trays, repair office furniture systems
Maintain lighting system bulbs and ballasts
Moves office furniture, machinery, equipment and other materials as requested
Perform assigned property inspections and preventive maintenance
Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas.
Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them
Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs
Maintain a clean safe work environment and compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws
This role may be required to work alone or with a team
