The Maintenance Supervisor position is a supervisory leadership role supported by on-the-job training, development, and opportunity for career progression. Coach Safety, Quality and Productivity to ensure objectives are met through following standardized work. Optimize throughput in accordance with budgets and cost objectives. Monitor ANDON occurrences. Be the first responder as secondary support. Through Process Confirmation, verify that the paint automation tenders are performing their assigned tasks. Support Kaizen (Continuous Improvement) and coach problem resolution to the lowest level. Communication and Recognition. Meet FTT, inventory, cost, scrap, supply, and tooling expense targets. Build Team Leader and Team Member capability. Create a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities / tasks. Assist with paint launch activities (new equipment, body styles, etc.). Coaching, training, and teaching skilled trades on automation equipment / process. Automation Tender scheduling (vacation coverage, training & time keeping records). Shift letter documentation / downtime reports / environmental requirements. Attend quality, productivity, and other related meetings. Basic administration of supervisory responsibilities and documentation. Work independently with limited supervision. Assign work to unionized hourly workforce and hold employees accountable for following processes pertaining to daily work assignments in terms of safety, quality, and throughput. Interact with Vendors for equipment support / part ordering. Display strong organizational and administrative skills. Multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Display strong problem-solving and conflict management skills. Work any shift, as well as rotate shifts, weekends and holidays as needed. Basic work schedule is a 7on/7off, 12-hour shift. Must have experience and be able to independently troubleshoot all Paint automation equipment (Fanuc, Durr, PLC5, Control Logix) and continuously evaluate equipment for quality and delivery improvements. Track open issues and prioritize repairs to keep production running. Manage the robot covers cost, inventory and change requirements and interact with supplier. Develop and monitor PM’s for the automation equipment for automation tenders and skilled trades to improve uptime in the spray booths. Ensure spare parts inventory in maintained. Ensure programs are backed up and changes are documented.
