About you and this role – Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Maintenance Repair and Operating (MRO) Coordinator. This position is located East Texas Hub located in Orange, TX. MRO Inventory Coordinator is responsible for managing inventory at a Site and/or Global level. The Senior MRO Inventory Coordinator acts as a lead and influential leader for the MRO team and other inventory coordinators. Manages Maintenance Repair and Operating (MRO) Supplies inventory. Requires full proficiency in a range of technical, operational, or analytical/scientific processes and procedures through job-related training and considerable on the job experience to perform a variety of work assignments. Acts as an informal resource for team members with less experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
  • 5 or more years of relevant experience.
  • 3 years of experience in SAP
  • Must have a valid US Driver License
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.
  • No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
  • Inventory Management: Ability to plan, control, and optimize Maintenance, Repair, and Operating (MRO) inventory to ensure material availability while minimizing excess stock and working capital. This includes analyzing inventory levels, executing replenishment recommendations, maintaining accurate SAP records, managing reservations and backorders, applying Global MRO work processes, and supporting standardization of materials across the site.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret and evaluate inventory, supplier, and operational data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities. This includes analyzing consumption patterns, stock levels, supplier delivery performance, and SAP data to make informed inventory recommendations and support stocking strategy changes that improve reliability and cost effectiveness.
  • Maintenance Repair: Understanding of maintenance and repair requirements and how MRO materials support equipment uptime and plant operations. This includes aligning inventory decisions with maintenance needs, ensuring critical spare parts are available, and collaborating with Maintenance teams to support planned and unplanned repair activities without disrupting operations.
  • Reliability: Ability to support equipment and operational reliability through effective MRO inventory practices. This includes ensuring timely availability of critical materials, reducing stockouts, partnering with Reliability teams on improvement projects, and adjusting stocking strategies to mitigate risk, prevent downtime, and support long‑term asset performance.
  • Leadership: Ability to act as a senior‑level resource and informal leader within the MRO inventory organization. This includes guiding and supporting less‑experienced inventory coordinators, influencing cross‑functional partners, promoting adherence to Global MRO processes, and contributing to standardization and continuous improvement initiatives without direct authority.
  • Communication (Written & Verbal): Ability to clearly and professionally communicate MRO inventory information, issues, and recommendations to multiple stakeholders including Maintenance, Reliability, suppliers, and other inventory coordinators. This includes explaining inventory levels, backorders, replenishment actions, supplier performance concerns, and stocking strategy changes in a way that supports timely decision‑making and operational continuity.
  • Able to meet the following physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations - You must be able to wear and use personal protective equipment (PPE), such as earplugs, goggles, and respirators. and steel-toed shoes. Including harnesses with a total maximum weight capacity of 300lbs.
  • Perform frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
  • Stand or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
  • Climb stairs/ladders and work high off the ground
