About The Position

We are seeking a results-driven procurement professional to manage the Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) indirect procurement category across multiple manufacturing and operational sites. This role is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that ensure supply continuity, cost competitiveness, and operational reliability, while partnering closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, EHS, and Finance stakeholders. The Manager, Indirect Procurement – MRO will lead supplier negotiations, category strategy execution, and continuous improvement initiatives to support safe, efficient, and uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in indirect procurement, sourcing, or supply chain, with direct experience in MRO or plant-support categories strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing or food & beverage production environments.
  • Proven experience leading RFx events, supplier negotiations, and contract management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess cost drivers, supplier performance, and savings opportunities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and influence outcomes without direct authority.
  • Experience using e-sourcing, ERP, or procurement platforms.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively, influence stakeholders, and drive strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute multi-year category sourcing strategies for MRO spend, including spare parts, maintenance supplies, industrial services, and operational consumables, aligned with plant and enterprise objectives.
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including RFx events, supplier negotiations, contract development, and award recommendations.
  • Partner closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, Reliability, and EHS teams to understand plant requirements and ensure sourcing strategies support uptime and safety.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure on-time delivery, quality performance, and cost discipline, while mitigating supply risk.
  • Support standardization and rationalization of MRO suppliers, parts, and specifications where appropriate.
  • Utilize e-sourcing and procurement tools (e.g., Ariba or equivalent) to improve efficiency, visibility, and compliance.
  • Track and report savings, cost avoidance, and performance metrics tied to category initiatives.
  • Support contract compliance and supplier performance management, including issue resolution and corrective action plans.
  • Identify opportunities to improve working capital, inventory optimization, and total cost of ownership.
  • Monitor market trends, commodity drivers, and supplier risk factors impacting MRO categories.
  • Ensure procurement activities align with corporate policies, ethical sourcing standards, and safety requirements.
