Senior Maintenance Mechanic
About The Position
This is a non-live in position. The primary goal of the Senior Maintenance Mechanic is to provide a safe and adequate living/working environment for the residents and staff. The Senior Maintenance Mechanic shall maintain properties in good condition and in compliance with all building codes, local, state and federal requirements, and agency policies and procedures. Conduct inspections as required for Community Access preventive maintenance program for all building systems and equipment and keep accurate records of all inspections conducted. They also supervise the maintenance mechanic and contracted porters.
Requirements
- Have an understanding, appreciation, and commitment to the philosophy and mission of Community Access
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- At least two (2) years of training or three (3) years of work experience in a related trade
- Must have experience in one or more of the following fields: carpentry, electrical, plumbing, masonry, painting.
- Must have working knowledge of equipment installation and repair, including HVAC systems.
- Must be fingerprinted and cleared by the New York State Justice Center.
- Must be able to regularly lift and carry items which weigh up to 100 lbs.
