About The Position

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Mainframe Application Developer - REMOTE. In this role, you will have the opportunity to impact the enhancement and maintenance of essential CA-MMIS applications within a hybrid cloud environment. You will work closely with modern platforms and traditional mainframe systems, supporting healthcare claims processing and Medicaid policies. This position allows for significant contributions to both technology and healthcare sectors, driving efficiency and quality improvements in application development and integration. Accountabilities Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and program logic. Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM. Implement Medicaid policies and business rules within the claims processing system. Perform unit, integration, and regression testing. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues. Implement and support z/OS Connect APIs for integration with AWS and modern platforms. Support Data Virtualization Manager (DVM) APIs to expose legacy mainframe data. Collaborate with business, QA, and technical teams throughout the SDLC. Requirements 5+ years of IBM z/OS mainframe development experience. Strong COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS experience. Experience analyzing requirements and delivering technical solutions. Knowledge of TSO/ISPF and standard mainframe development tools. Experience with z/OS Connect and REST/API integration preferred. Familiarity with AWS or hybrid cloud integration is a plus.
