Job Description U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Senior Mainframe Data Storage Specialists (multiple positions) in Irving, TX.

Requirements

• Position requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology, and 2 years in a Computer Systems Engineer, or related, occupation .
• Must include 2 years of experience with each of the following: 1. REXX, CLIST, and JCL; 2. DFSMS for mainframe storage management and optimization; 3. EMC Symmetrix, Powermax, Vmax, SRDF/A, and SnapVX; 4. DS8000, DASD, TS7700, TAPE, and GDPS; 5. Brocade SAN zoning and troubleshooting, SAN384B-2, and SANNAV; 6. DELLEMc DLm Hardware and Utilities; 7. CA-Vantage; and, 8. Backup, recovery, and technical troubleshooting of Catalog and VTOC.

Responsibilities

• Assess computer system technology, selection, and roadmap of Mainframe Storage.
• Design, implement, and manage Distributed Systems FC storage solutions from Mainframe storage.
• Lead and participate in new technology evaluations, product upgrades, hardware refreshes, and data migrations.
• Establish Storage Technology selection criteria for applications.
• Provide solutions and changes to system procedures to promote operational efficiency.
• Oversee storage provisioning, reclaims, replication, migrations, and other storage requirements to facilitate business operations for the storage network environment.
• Evaluate performance management and resource optimization in Mainframe Storage.
