Position Overview: The Senior Logistics Specialist provides lifecycle logistics, fielding, sustainment, and redistribution support to Product Manager Infantry Weapons (PdM IW) programs at Marine Corps Logistics Command (LOGCOM), Albany, GA. This role serves as the sustainment execution backbone for assigned weapon, optics, and infantry equipment programs. This Position is Contingent Upon Award Anticipated Start Date: June 2026 Support Hours: Applicant shall be available during core work hours as established by the Government customer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (experience may substitute)
  • 8+ years of logistics or sustainment experience supporting DoD programs
  • Hands-on experience with GCSS-MC and Marine Corps logistics documentation
  • Active Secret clearance required.

  • Strong understanding of Marine Corps logistics systems and sustainment execution
  • Proficiency with GCSS-MC, MILSTRIP, TAMIS, and related logistics systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Ability to operate independently with limited supervision
  • Strong communication skills with fleet and LOGCOM stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Execute lifecycle logistics support, including fielding, redistribution, and sustainment activities
  • Process and validate logistics documentation including DD1348, DD1149, DD1150, DD250, MIPRs, KSDS, and MILSTRIP transactions
  • Support configuration baseline tracking and redistribution actions within GCSS-MC
  • Coordinate with operating forces, depots, vendors, and PdM IW staff
  • Support audit readiness, asset accountability, and material tracking
  • Participate in fielding conferences, logistics reviews, and sustainment planning efforts
  • Identify discrepancies in cost, quantity, unit of issue, or documentation and coordinate resolution
