Senior Logistics Manager WORK LOCATION:Hanscom AFB, MA Salary Range:$114-120,000 depending on experience, certifications, and qualifications JOB STATUS: Full-time; salaried CLEARANCE: MUST have an active US Secret clearance Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Logistics Manager to directly support the Cyberspace Security and Control System (CSCS) program, which is within the USAAF C3I&N Directorate and located at Hanscom AFB, Bedford, MA RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will focus on directing, developing and/or performing logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating or evaluating the logistical actions required to support multiple Base Information Transport Infrastructure (BITI) programs. This includes identifying specific requirements for money, manpower, materiel, facilities and services needed to support the program, and correlating those requirements with program plans to assure that the needed support is provided at the right time and place. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide hands-on knowledge if acquisition lifecycle and product support planning process at each phase Work independently as well as part of a collaborative team Extensive experience with defense acquisition management processes in accordance with DoD 5000 Knowledge of the DoD’s integrated product support element structure Familiarity with Product Support Business Case Analysis (PS-BCA) and Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP) processes Familiarity with accomplishing a Logistics Health Assessment (LHA) Knowledge of the DoD Product Support Manager Guidebook Knowledge of the department/agency policies and procedures related to the implementation and management of a Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) program Knowledge of department/agency policies and procedures related to the inventory and tracking of accountable property Knowledge of agency program planning, funding and management information systems Broad knowledge of the organization and functions of activities involved in providing logistical support Ability to coordinate and evaluate the efforts of functional specialists to identify specific requirements and to develop and adjust plans and schedules for the actions needed to meet each requirement on time Capable of implementing and aligning logistics requirements as part of an IPT. Capable of developing and advising on alternative courses of actions to adjust to funding, requirements, and schedule adjustments.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree and 15 years of experience, of which 5 year must be in the DoD
  • OR 20 years of directly related experience with proper certifications, of which 8 year must be in the DoD
  • Must have the ability to integrate separate functions in planning and implementing a logistics management program.
  • Hands-on Asset Management and Supply Chain Management experience in a DoD environment
  • Ability to lead a project team in completing complex projects
  • Proficient Microsoft office skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)
  • MUST have an active US Secret clearance
