About The Position

Our By Light Implementation team, the premier provider of innovative Information Technology (IT) services and communications support to the Department of Defense and Federal Agencies is growing. We’re increasing our team to support the US Army Comprehensive Modernization (COMPMOD). The program includes conducting survey and design, engineer, furnish, install, secure, and test (EFIS&T) solutions to include non-secure internet protocol router (NIPR), secure internet protocol router (SIPR), Wi-Fi, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), Inside Plant (ISP), Outside Plant (OSP), and Voice Modernization at U.S. Army Base/Post/Camp/Station (B/P/C/S) across the Continental United States (CONUS). We have an opening for a Senior Logistician. The functions of this position and responsibilities include elements such as - overseeing logistics operations, ensuring efficient supply chain management, coordinating shipments, and optimizing inventory processes; apply multi-functional logistics and property management experience by providing life cycle management for all Government Furnished Property and Contractor acquired Property. Apply expertise in procurement, warehousing, and storage. Maintain official property records administration and ensure appropriate stockage of expendable and non-expendable supplies, accurate accountability, inventorying, and reporting. Ensure expendable and non-expendable items are appropriately distributed and accounted for enabling our team to accomplish its mission on time.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree may be preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in DoD logistics or supply chain management, with a proven track record of improving logistics processes and leading teams.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in logistics software and tools
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively interface with the TOPM, senior military officials, managers, and subordinates.
  • Certifications: DAU Level III Certification Life Cycle Logistics; Certified Master Logistician (CML), or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
  • IAT Level I Certification
  • SECRET Clearance required
  • Accountability and hand receipt management

Responsibilities

  • Logistics Management: Oversee the entire logistics process, including the movement of goods, inventory management, and coordination with suppliers and customers to ensure timely delivery.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in logistics procedures and protocols to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage the logistics team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across multiple sites and locations to meet operational goals.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute logistics strategies that align with the TOPM objectives, ensuring a responsive and resilient supply process.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all logistics activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements, including safety standards and hazardous materials handlingSupport acquisition Integrated Product Support (IPS) services.
  • Work closely with the customer to ensure proper and on time ordering of critical equipment
  • Provide recommendations and draft documentation for acquisition logistics functions during all phases of the project.
  • Provide recommendations and draft documentation for overall configuration management
  • Support acquisition logistics activities for delivery; issue and movement of system and material; Total Package Fielding and Training.
