About The Position

Full Time Senior Logistician position supporting the E Department providing Logistics support for the Depot Engineering Branch NSSM and RAM programs. This position may require 50%-75% travel, based on mission needs.

Requirements

Associate’s Degree and 7 – 10 years of logistics experience or no degree and 9 – 12 years of experience.
Security clearance, shipboard certifications, and physical requirements (Heavy lifting may be required)
Must have strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat).
Have a valid driver’s license with own transportation.
Must be able to receive and maintain a security clearance.
Must be able to travel if/when required up to 75% of the time or as needed.
Must be able to lift 50lbs

Nice To Haves

Navy Logistics School
Previous NAVSEA Logistics experience.

Responsibilities

On-site coordination of installs, removals, repairs, and refurbishment (NSSMS, RAM).
Preplanning, scheduling, tracking, and conducting briefs with ship personnel.
Material Condition Assessment (MCA) of NSSMS, RAM, CIWS.
Shipboard inspections, data entry into MCA database, report generation, out briefs.
Database management (Asset Tracking, MCA, Ranking).
Daily briefs, pre/post briefings, coordination with ship personnel.
Able to work independently, perform and complete tasks with little to no guidance, and supervise the work of others.
Able to communicate expectations and follow-up to make sure deadlines are met.
Able to identify and resolve logistics discrepancies and track and source all high priority requisitions.
Able to interface with Project Engineers, LogReps, Engineers, Technicians, and Logisticians.
Able to follow company policies and procedures.
Able to write, speak and understand English and able to write clear, detailed reports.
