Location: On-site at GSFC Greenbelt, MD

Requirements

  • Looking for minimum of 10 yrs doing preventive and corrective CNC machine maintenance on mills, lathes or mill turning equipment (Mazak, Haas, Fadal, Yasnac, Fanuc, Agie Charmilles, Micron).
  • Able to diagnose repairs if necessary.
  • Able to install CNC machines and keep in good working order.
  • Verifies conformance of Machine to OEM specification prior to returning to production fabrication. Uses calipers, micrometers, multimeter and various other equipment to diagnose.
  • Generates complete CNC machine maintenance documentation. Inputs part data into schedule to plan when down time is acceptable.
  • Uses hand tools to assemble parts when necessary.
  • Exercises shop safety and standard shop safety processes such as lock out/ tag out of high voltage systems, use of eye protection, wearing of steel toed shoes, and can recognize an unsafe condition.

Nice To Haves

  • Certificates of training obtained for software, controllers, or from Original Equipment Manufacturers is desired.
  • Knowledge of and experience using part tracking software such as Acumatica, Katana, JobBoss or Epicor is desired.
  • Knowledge of regular maintenance and scheduled mechanical and electrical maintenance of some CNC machines, presses, punch, EDM, autoclaves, band saw, waterjet, spray booth, manual machines desired.
