About The Position

Join Productivity, Inc, a leader in machine tool sales, service, and automation integration since 1968. We’re looking for an experienced, skilled CNC Field Service Engineer to support customers with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of advanced production equipment. Open to candidates willing to relocate to the Denver, Colorado area – relocation assistance available. What you’ll do  Travel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machine tool equipment and controls. (Productivity provides a company vehicle; gas and travel expenses are covered.) Perform new machine installations and setup Perform repairs and adjustments of spindles, drives, slides, hydraulic systems, electronic controls, electrical peripherals, and other items Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems Calibrate, adjust, and replace components to ensure precise machine performance Maintain detailed service records and communicate findings with customers and internal teams Use online technical documentation, manuals, and vendor resources to research and resolve machine issues. Complete and submit accurate documentation to Productivity and customers regarding machine status, repairs, and installations.

Requirements

  • 3 or more years of experience in CNC repair and troubleshooting, particularly with Makino and Matsuura equipment, is required.
  • Ability to independently diagnose and resolve issues across mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Proficiency with software tools (e.g., Microsoft Office); role requires regular use of a laptop, smartphone, and various applications.
  • Strong technical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours with frequent travel throughout Colorado. (Technicians are dispatched daily from home to customer locations.)
