Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree required
- Must be admitted to the Massachusetts Bar
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant or transferable experience in a public agency, corporate or law firm setting with knowledge and skill in legal analysis, document drafting, and contracts law. Experience in public procurement/contract law is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in legal analysis, document drafting and administrative, regulatory and constitutional law required.
Responsibilities
- Serves as a trusted legal advisor to Massport’s business and operational teams, providing timely, accurate counsel that supports continuity of operations across aviation, maritime, and administrative functions.
- Provides strategic guidance on procurements, contracts, and development initiatives, ensuring alignment with Massport’s policies, legal requirements, and organizational objectives.
- Partners closely with internal stakeholders to navigate complex legal, regulatory, and risk considerations, translating legal frameworks into practical, actionable solutions.
- Acts as a versatile in‑house practitioner by anticipating legal and regulatory developments, supporting governance processes, and helping safeguard the Authority’s public interests.
