In Neuroscience, we continue the mission of Dr. Paul Janssen, whose discoveries transformed treatment and care for people with serious mental illness, to work to heal minds and bodies and restore hope for people living with serious brain disorders. We collaborate with doctors, caregivers and those living with nervous system disorders or neurological, neurodegenerative, and neuropsychiatric disorders to improve health outcomes and advance solutions that address critical needs. Purpose: The Senior Learning Manager, is a key member of the Learning Excellence Neuroscience Team and will coordinate our learning and development efforts for the sales team, franchise team and medical field teams. Primarily, the Senior Learning Manager will design, develop, and implement learning assets and deliverables that align to Sales and Marketing objectives for the growth of INVEGA SUSTENNA®, INVEGA TRINZA®, INVEGA HAFYERA®, CAPLYTA® and SPRAVATO®. The Senior Learning Manager will assist the Director of Learning Excellence in leading the Learning Excellence Team’s efforts to successfully design, develop, and implement learning deliverables that align to Sales and Marketing objectives to support initiatives such as: POA meetings, new hire experience, and product/indication launches. This includes updating, maintaining, and delivering new hire curricula, as well as addressing the ongoing learning and development needs of the entire sales force based on sales direction. This role will conduct ongoing environmental scan of potential learning gaps throughout the field and will provide strategic direction for learning by assessing organizational needs and aligning training strategies to Sales and Marketing objectives. Finally, this individual will be responsible for onboarding, and mentoring Learning Managers within the Learning Excellence Neuroscience Team that are “new to role.” The Senior Learning Manager will continually coach Learning Excellence team members on adult learning principles, facilitation skills, and innovative learning solutions and foster an environment that promotes development for short-term and long-term career growth. This person is expected to maintain expert status in technical aspects of the role, including but not limited to clinical and product knowledge, selling expertise, and the healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in a scientific discipline; PharmD or Master’s Degree strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 6-8 years of pharmaceutical or healthcare industry required
  • Prior learning and development experience is required
  • Experience working with Healthcare Professionals is required.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills are required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Proven track record of working in a cross-functional environment
  • The ability to travel, which will include overnight travel, up to 20% of the time, is required

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in Neuroscience is preferred
  • Strong scientific background; medical or pharmaceutical training highly preferred (including PharmD).

Responsibilities

  • Content Development and Facilitation: Applies innovative approaches to design, update, and improve learning content that enhances the learning experience and on-the-job application. Demonstrates a passion for learning and continually develops and applies knowledge of adult learning principles and facilitation skills to best meet learners’ needs. Develops learning content for meetings (e.g., New Hire, POA, manager) to support strategic initiatives and improve competencies. Ensures compliance with HCC and Company guidelines when facilitating content.
  • Project Management & Collaboration: Manages competing priorities and adapts to changes in project timelines, urgency, or compliance constraints. Develops and implements short- and long-term project plans and meets objectives, milestones, and deliverables for multiple projects. Leverages knowledge of business objectives, strategies, and operational procedures to effectively meet business and learning goals. Partners with vendors to manage the development of new learning content. Manages RFP process, evaluates progress, and ensures measurable return for project outputs.
  • Clinical & Marketplace Expertise: Remains current on and anticipates changes in product knowledge, marketplace conditions, and stakeholder practices to deliver the most effective delivery of materials. Understands and adapts to the changing healthcare ecosystem and adjusts learning solutions accordingly. Develops clinical fluency in all assigned disease states to equip learners to engage stakeholders in meaningful, results-driven conversations. Demonstrates selling skills to understand and meet the customer’s needs and provide appropriate solutions. Ensure developmental progression throughout a New Hires' first year to enable sustained and increased results.
