Organization: Specialized Training Job Summary: The Senior Learning & Development Specialist partners closely with a Principal Learning Consultant to design, develop, and maintain high‑impact learning solutions, with a primary focus on safety and compliance training. This role is heavily centered on e‑learning and online training development, supporting year‑round compliance efforts including new hire training, annual compliance releases, and training for new acquisitions as needed. While the Principal Learning Consultant typically leads stakeholder communication, needs analysis, and SME engagement, this role is designed to progressively grow into consultative responsibilities. The Senior Specialist will sit in on SME and stakeholder meetings, gain exposure to learning needs assessment and solution design, and increasingly consult independently with customers to recommend effective learning and performance solutions. The role requires strong proficiency across the adult learning development lifecycle, including assessing learning needs, designing and developing solutions, implementing training, and evaluating effectiveness. Learning solutions may include e‑learning and occasional instructor-led or virtual components, with limited facilitation responsibilities as needed. This position also collaborates cross‑functionally with other departments to ensure learning solutions align with organizational goals, quality standards, and accessibility requirements. In addition, the Senior Learning & Development Specialist serves as a mentor and subject matter resource for peers, sharing best practices, tools, and innovative learning techniques.
