About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Analytics Consultant on the Personal Lending Analytics Team as part of CMSPL (Credit Card Merchant Services Personal Lending) . The Senior Lead Analytics Consultant will have primary responsibilities in data mining with sophisticated programming skills. It will be critical for the consultant to demonstrate a strong ability to gather insights and bring story telling abilities to support the business in making informed decisions. These decisions will support strategies in a diverse manner across the Personal Lending organization such as marketing, product growth, expense reduction, retention, loyalty, and operations to name a few. This role will support ad hoc requests from executive level leadership to help identify areas of opportunity and improvement. Reporting will include presenting to these stakeholders in a clear and effective manner. In this role, you will: Act as an advisor to senior leadership to develop or influence analytical strategies for highly complex business and technical needs Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring analytical application of industry techniques and advanced data from multiple sources across the enterprise Deliver solutions that are long-term, large-scale, and require vision, innovation, and coordination of highly complex activities Provide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions that align to the enterprise Bring a consulting, solution, and servicing mindset to our business partners. Creativity for new and novel analytics approach or data visualizations to deliver insights. Ensure adherence to compliance and legal regulations and policies on all projects managed Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership Develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive advantage for Wells Fargo Develop, test, analyze and implement strategies to achieve the financial objective relevant to macro-economic conditions Work closely with cross functional teams (Tech, Product, Risk, Operations) to drive impact on a given product, problem, or initiative

Requirements

  • 7+ years of Analytics, Reporting, Financial Modeling or Statistics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Nice To Haves

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with SAS, Python or SQL
  • Experience in delivering Insights & Data Visualizations deliverables using PowerPoint and Tableau
  • Strong analytical mindset with a proven data driven storytelling ability utilizing knowledge of the business, customers, and products to synthesize results and form compelling stories
  • Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, with a wide variety of partners both technical and non-technical
  • Extensive experience in applying analytical techniques to solve strategic business problems and answer strategic questions
  • Experience with banking and financial products; specifically, knowledge of consumer unsecured lending business
  • Ability to translate and summarize complex data into understandable, actionable information and recommendations
  • Experience or knowledge with Customer Segmentation and targeting various audiences
  • Analytical experience with the ability to pull and synthesize information and data from multiple sources to create a robust analysis
  • Consultative experience with the ability to identify and understand the problem, design a solution, gain buy-in and consensus on the approach, gather necessary resources to complete the assignment, and communicate results in a timely way to our partners and peer groups
  • Strong problem-solving skills; the ability to lead and influence diverse views to foster problem solving and delivery of extraordinary work that promotes team success
  • Strong conceptual thinking and ability to drive clarity in ambiguity while dealing with credit and operational problems
  • Outstanding problem solving and decision-making skills based on analytics.
