About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a driven, self-starting analytics professional to help lead modernization and transformation efforts that support growth and a strong control environment. In this hands-on individual contributor role, you will develop and operationalize data-driven detection strategies to identify and mitigate employee misconduct, employee-enabled fraud, and regulatory and reputational risks. You will partner across risk functions within Consumer Banking and Lending (CBL) to strengthen risk insight, enhance monitoring effectiveness, and support the delivery of products and services to customers. Requirements

  • 7+ years of Analytics, Reporting, Financial Modeling or Statistics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience delivering end-to-end analytics solutions using Python and SAS, including 5+ years of Python development, with exposure to modern development practices such as reusable patterns, configuration-driven, and cloud-native approaches
  • Practical experience applying GenAI and AI-assisted or agentic tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to support analytics, automation, and scalable, repeatable monitoring solutions
  • Experience designing, building, testing, and automating production-ready analytics pipelines across large-scale datasets, including unstructured text and cloud-based environments such as GCP
  • Experience using modern development tools and languages, including Visual Studio Code with extension customization, TypeScript, and JavaScript
  • Demonstrated experience in risk detection, anomaly detection, or pattern identification within analytics or monitoring use cases
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analytics and technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders
  • Exposure to financial services, consumer banking, fraud, or compliance domains, or a proven ability to quickly learn and apply business context

Responsibilities

  • Act as an advisor to senior leadership to develop or influence analytical strategies for highly complex business and technical needs
  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring analytical application of industry techniques and advanced data from multiple sources across the enterprise
  • Deliver solutions that are long-term, large-scale, and require vision, innovation, and coordination of highly complex activities
  • Provide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions that align to the enterprise
  • Ensure adherence to compliance and legal regulations and policies on all projects managed
  • Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership
  • Provide technical expertise and direction to develop and deliver the innovative business solutions
