What Your Impact Is Lead wetland delineations and protected species assessments for high-profile, multi-state projects. Develop technical reports, regulatory documentation, and compliance strategies that shape renewable energy and infrastructure development. Partner with ERM Project Managers and technical leaders to craft innovative, fit‑for‑purpose solutions. Influence environmental permitting outcomes and contribute to impact assessments that guide critical industry decisions. What You’ll Bring Required Minnesota Wetland Professional Certification Program (Certified Wetland Professional). Education: BS in environmental science, biology, natural resources, or related discipline (minimum 3.0 GPA) or equivalent experience. Experience: 3+ years (5+ strongly preferred) in environmental consulting or related discipline. Technical Skills: Wetland delineations using the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Wetlands Delineation Manual and Regional Supplements. Plant identification, soil sampling, hydric soils, and hydrology indicators. Strong data management and technical report writing capabilities. Other Requirements: Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area. Willingness to travel up to 75%. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of dynamic, cross‑functional teams. This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship. Preferred Professional Wetland Certificate (nationwide) and Assure Delineator (Wisconsin). Experience preparing NEPA environmental assessments, permitting, and compliance documentation. Familiarity with requirements from U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, National Marine Fisheries Service, and state/local agencies. Key Responsibilities Conduct wetland delineations across Upper Midwest states using federal and regional protocols. Perform habitat assessments, environmental due diligence, and NEPA‑related impact studies. Prepare compliance management plans and multi‑media permitting documents. Support project execution through field surveys, data analysis, literature review, and technical reporting. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver strategic recommendations to clients. Meet quality, budget, and schedule expectations while contributing to ERM’s Impact Assessment team goals. For the Senior Consultant, Lead Wetland position, the anticipated annual base pay is $ 79,740 –$101,411 ( USD) . Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. In some cases, pay may fall outside this range. This role may be eligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/flex force employees are not bonus eligible).
