The Senior Launch Manager is part of the Cell Therapy Launch and Lifecycle Management Excellence Team which enables operational and system readiness by coordinating commercial and clinical cell therapy launches to expand patient access and advance the BMS pipeline. This position is responsible for leading a global cross-functional team to ensure manufacturing launch readiness by developing and managing comprehensive launch plans, milestones, and deliverables, while driving effective meeting management and clear communication to stakeholders and leadership. Given the dynamic nature of cell therapy, these launches require an individual who can provide structure while quickly adapting to change and moving the cross-functional launch team forward. The position reports to the Director, Cell Therapy Launch and Lifecycle Management and will not have direct reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, life sciences, business, or a related field is required; advanced degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of project and program management experience, including leading complex matrix teams
  • Excellent organization, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Successful track record of managing complex projects, launches and/or lifecycle transitions, preferably within Cell Therapy
  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical product lifecycle and operating within a regulated environment
  • Strong analytical problem solving and critical thinking skills with ability to work independently and take initiative

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in project management software, OnePlan Portfolio Management and SmartLaunch a plus
  • PMP certification strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead a cross-functional team to ensure manufacturing launch readiness timelines are met for multiple commercial and clinical launches
  • Develop and manage detailed project launch plans, milestones, and deliverables utilizing SmartLaunch
  • Plan, schedule, and manage effective meetings with clear agendas, pre-reads, and subsequent meeting minutes and follow up actions
  • Communicate project status, updates, and risks clearly to stakeholders and leadership
  • Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate launch risks while ensuring compliance with schedules and quality/regulatory standards
  • Open and manage the global launch change control in BMS quality system
  • Drive operational excellence and foster a collaborative environment that encourages best practices and continuous improvement
  • Facilitate change management and adoption of new launch processes or systems
  • Ensure documentation of lessons learned and capture best practices for future launches
  • Assist with onboarding and training new launch managers and providing backup coverage
  • 10% travel, domestic and international

Employees in remote-by-design or lab-based roles may be eligible for summer hours, depending on the nature of their work, and should discuss eligibility with their manager. Employees covered under a collective bargaining agreement should consult that document to determine if they are eligible. Contractors, leased workers and other service providers are not eligible to participate in the program.
