Performing a wide range of general laboratory support operations in the Biochemistry group; coordinating the receipt and inventory log entry of reagents and supplies; maintaining inventory logs for necessary reagents and supplies; performing daily equipment status monitoring; assisting in the routine maintenance of general laboratory equipment Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate Coordinate the receipt and entry of reagents and supplies into the department inventory log Maintain inventory logs for necessary reagents and supplies and communicate those logs to the appropriate individuals Assist appropriate personnel in the location of and eventual removal of reagents and supplies from the active laboratory population when expired or exhausted Assist in the routine maintenance of general laboratory equipment including biological safety cabinets, incubators, refrigerators, waterbaths, centrifuges, and platewashers Assist in the proper disposal of laboratory generated waste Ability to access and use computer programming including PC software Performs other duties as assigned

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Reasoning skills, including logical thinking and deductive reasoning
  • Accuracy in transcribing information
  • Ability to work well with others and as part of a team
