About The Position

NOVA Engineering & Environmental is hiring an entry-level CMT Lab Technician in Athens, Georgia for NOVA's Construction Materials Testing division. This role ensures construction materials meet project specifications and supports quality assurance for a variety of clients.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Ability to work in a laboratory environment and occasionally assist in the field.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory tests on asphalt, concrete, aggregates, and soils for commercial and transportation projects.
• Perform strength, density, and moisture tests following GDOT, ACI, ASTM, and AASHTO standards.
• Accurately document and report test results to project managers and clients.
• Maintain and calibrate lab equipment per GDOT, ACI, ASTM, and AASHTO requirements.
• Follow safety protocols and quality control procedures.
