Senior Lab Technician - Fire Assayer

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a Lab Technician, with specific experience in fire assay techniques.
- Proven ability to perform precise measurements and follow detailed procedures.
- Familiarity with laboratory safety practices and chemical handling.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Nice To Haves
- Associate's degree or higher in Chemistry, Metallurgy, or a related scientific field preferred.
- Experience with atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Prepare samples for fire assay analysis, including crushing, pulverizing, and weighing.
- Perform fire assay fusions and cupellation according to established procedures.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including furnaces, balances, and atomic absorption spectrometers.
- Record and interpret analytical data, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality control standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
