About the role Where you'll work Our Niagara Falls, NY location is a chemical production facility that produces organic salts, including propionates and acetates, serving pharmaceutical, food, feed and technical industries. With this long-standing and fully automated manufacturing site, Kerry offers world class quality products to a global market. Our products fill vital needs in a broad range of applications that are essential to everyday life including food preservation, antibiotic formulation, dialysis treatment, energy production and more. 400 47th St., Niagara Falls, NY 14304
Requirements
- Associate’s degree required in Chemistry, Food Science, Biochemistry, or related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Basic understanding of chemistry and analytical methods. Experience in good laboratory practices.
- 3-5 years laboratory experience required.
- Analytical, decisive, multi-tasked, and goal-oriented individual is required with the ability to manage time and resources.
Nice To Haves
- Quality investigation or environmental monitoring experience a plus.
Responsibilities
- Analysis of raw materials, intermediate and finished products against identified standards and specifications.
- Analysis of raw materials, intermediates and finished products
- Accurate, timely, and complete record keeping
- Timely communication to Production for non-conforming material
- Special testing as requested
- Monitoring and replenishing lab consumables
- Maintenance and calibration of lab instruments
- Preparation and standardization of lab solutions
- Oversee development and revision of test procedures
- Inspection of raw materials documentation
