Raytheon Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) is looking for an experienced Senior IT Systems Technician candidate to support our team based out of Aurora, CO. The selected candidate will provide Tier 2 Operations & Maintenance (O&M) for Program supported real-time IT Systems. Responsible for the support, management, and successful completion of all tasks in assigned projects. The primary responsibilities of our IT Systems Technicians are to maintain computers, voice, video, network, and server hardware equipment used to support IT services. They also provide installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting support for information systems applications and related peripheral hardware. Our Sr. IT Systems Technician is a key contact for customers who need assistance in resolving technical issues, and communicates on incident status, analysis, and solutions. This includes conducting in-depth troubleshooting of incident tickets and change requests, leveraging a well-rounded understanding of baseline systems/services and troubleshooting techniques. This position requires a well-versed technician that can help clients through the installation, repair, and maintenance of hardware and software while building positive, trusting relationships with our customers.

Requirements

  • Typically requires bachelor’s and minimum of 2+ years of relevant prior experience.
  • Must have an active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Experience with desktop computers, thin clients, and servers’ installation and administration
  • Must have an active DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (or higher). IAT Level 2 requires one or more of the following Professional Certifications: Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, CND. CompTIA Security+ CE is the minimum certification

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with VoIP phones, video conferencing, cabling standards, installation, systems administration, testing equipment, and ITIL
  • Current in IT technical knowledge to resolve complex issues requiring detailed systems and applications understanding
  • Team player that is willing to provide support to a variety of tasks and to support high priority customer activities
  • Excellent communication and customer interaction skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform Service Operations and support Service Transition activities for IT infrastructure to include desktop computers, thin clients, servers, telephones, cabling, and administration
  • Install, upgrade, repair, support customer baseline equipment and related devices
  • Perform anomaly/incident resolution, request fulfillment, Install Move Add Change Disposal (IMACD) support, Trusted Agent support, asset & configuration management of the operational baseline, and support overall incident and change management actions
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, isolate, and resolve system service failures to meet program resolution timelines (Critical, Essential and Support)
  • Reseat cards, reboot hardware, replace hardware components, and replace cabling
  • Re-image or reload software to approved baseline standard and run diagnostics to repair storage discs or corrupted files
  • Support non-standard surge services for special projects and high visibility activities as directed
  • 100% onsite full time based in Aurora, CO
