Job Title: Senior IT System Engineer – Infrastructure FLSA Status: Salary Reports To: Senior Director of IT We are looking for a self-motivated and passionate Senior IT Systems Engineer to join the talented IT Department at Festival Foods. The IT System Engineering team is responsible for enterprise servers, storage, backupsecovery, patching , data center management along with our Azure environments across our 50+ locations.

  • Responsible for backupecovery, availability, monitoring, capacity planning, patch management, configuration management, system documentation, systems adhere to relevant corporate policies, capacity planning and maintaining a 3-year technology roadmap for assigned infrastructure systems.
  • Provides Level 3 support for complex technical issues.
  • Plays the technical point person through resolution.
  • Facilitate technical working sessions with vendor and required Associates through resolution.
  • Takes ownership to restore service and root cause resolution.
  • Introduces solutions (tools, automation, processes, reporting) to improve team’s configuration management and provisioning maturity.
  • Leads architecture sessions to design or refine systems, services, and solutions that align with the organization’s future needs
  • Automate the provisioning and management of infrastructure (on premise & Azure) leveraging Infrastructure as Code tools and processes.
  • Responsible for enabling proactive monitoring, adhering to system availability SLAs and capacity planning for assigned infrastructure systems.
  • Assist with budget forecasting based on life cycle management and capacity management.
  • Document infrastructure designs, processes, and procedures for knowledge sharing and compliance
  • Ensures assigned systems or services are adhere to relevant corporate policies.
  • Lead the development and execution of the technology roadmap for assigned infrastructure systems.
  • Evaluate, analyze, and recommend new technologies and vendor products relating to existing and future business requirements.
  • Mentor other System Engineers by providing technical guidance and assistance.
  • Lead medium to large technology initiatives independently.
  • Effectively work with key stakeholders to reach a resolution.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Participate in on-call rotation, ensuring proper resolution to escalated issues.
  • Regular, timely attendance in compliance with work schedule.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in professional experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work individually and in a team environment.
  • Outstanding project management and analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • Deep knowledge of and genuine enthusiasm for emerging technologies .
  • Eight (8) or more years of experience as an IT Infrastructure Engineer or related experience.
  • Expert level experience with virtualization technologies, Microsoft server, automation and orchestration technologies and Azure administration.
  • Demonstrated experience in infrastructure services design, enterprise operating system administration, performance optimization, systems management tools, capacity planning, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
  • In-depth knowledge of operational best practices, configuration management methodologies, and security controls to ensure stable and compliant system environments.
