About The Position

CVS Health's Enterprise Procurement department, a key function within the company’s Global Business Services organization, is seeking a Category Manager Senior Analyst for the Strategic Sourcing IT Category Management (Infrastructure, Cloud/SaaS, Software, Healthcare Platform) Team. This role involves leading complex, high-impact RFx events for indirect products and services across various IT categories including Software (Enterprise, End User, Security, CRM, MarTech), Infrastructure (Data Center, Network, Servers, Laptops/PC, Telephony, CCaaS), Cloud (Public, Private, Multi, Hybrid, SaaS), and Healthcare Platform/VAR (Medical Records Software, Digital Payer, Revenue Payment Cycle Management, Claims/adjudication, Value Added Reseller (VAR) Management, Technology Supplier Catalog Management). The Senior Analyst will also support the Category Manager and Lead Director in category strategy and pipeline development. Reporting to the Lead Director within the Indirect Strategic Sourcing team, this position operates in a collaborative environment focused on effectively serving internal stakeholders. The Strategic Sourcing team manages over $12B in annual indirect spend across IT and non-IT categories supporting various business units. The ideal candidate will possess an enterprise mindset, an entrepreneurial self-starting mentality, and strong communication skills to build relationships with business leaders and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience related to Sourcing & Category Management, Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Analytics, Technology or Project Management.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% for supplier presentations, site visits, and key department meetings.
  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Business, Economics, Supply-Chain, Finance, Accounting Technology or a in a related field or equivalent years of relevant experience is required.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and lead a variety of complex, high-value, high visibility sourcing events in support of category.
  • Support development of category plans, pipeline, and other category materials.
  • Manage expiring contract process to support pipeline development for category.
  • Work with Sourcing Category Managers to develop the strategy and approach for each RFx event.
  • Organize and lead effective meetings with internal stakeholder and external suppliers.
  • As appropriate, delegate RFx events and tasks to Sourcing Analysts and provide guidance to ensure successful execution.
  • Conduct market research that supports negotiation strategies and award decisions for each sourcing event.
  • Compile scope of work and requirements, analyze and evaluate vendor proposals, and negotiate final commercial terms.
  • Develop and confidently present analysis - both quantitative and qualitative - to Procurement and Business leadership to obtain approval to award business.
  • Effectively communicate and demonstrate Strategic Sourcing's value proposition to internal business partners/stakeholders.
