About The Position

The Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for leading complex technology initiatives and projects, managing all phases of the project lifecycle from initiation and planning through closure to ensure successful delivery on time, within budget and aligned to project goals and strategic goals of the organization. This role is responsible for project planning, resource allocation, risk and issue management, and serving as the primary interface between IT teams and business stakeholders.

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, business or related field, plus 8+ years of IT project management experience in software development
  • Proven experience managing project teams, including business analysts, developers, subject matter experts, and end-users in an agile delivery method
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, with the ability to prioritize and make resource and project decisions with overall business goals in mind
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
  • Strong knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle process
  • Knowledge of project methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall

Nice To Haves

  • SAP, Salesforce and/or Monday.com experience a plus
  • Advanced Level of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • Distribution industry experience a strong plus

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage IT projects from beginning to end.
  • Projects can be large, complex and/or involve multiple teams to deliver.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, objectives, schedules and deliverables; complete Project Charter.
  • Proactively identify, monitor and mitigate risks and issues, implementing creative and timely solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with project stakeholders and sponsors, managing expectations and providing regular progress reports; chair project steering team meetings.
  • Manage project budgets and optimize resource allocations, including internal resources and external partners.
  • Where required, negotiate with department managers for use of project resources from other departments.
  • Lead, motivate and mentor project team members throughout the entire project lifecycle.
  • Partner with organizational change management resources to prepare and equip end users to adapt to change.
  • Ensure compliance with PMO governance, software development lifecycle controls, and quality standards.
  • Embrace continuous improvement for delivering IT projects; identify opportunities for improved efficiency and/or quality, better end user experience, and automation.
  • Train and coach users of project management tools and processes to ensure consistency and efficiency across all projects.
  • Strive to understand the Network business model and the different department activities that support it.
