The Senior IT Infrastructure Team Lead is responsible for managing and coordinating all IT activities at St. Johnsbury, VT site. This role serves as the primary IT contact for local leadership and users, ensuring that IT systems, infrastructure, and services effectively support business operations while alignment with global IT standards, policies. The role requires knowledge and experience in IT infrastructure, project management, Helpdesk support, Network & Security, and Datacenter-Operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience with PCs, printers, and network environments, with at least 3 years in a lead technical role.
  • Experience with networking concepts, MS Active Directory, and VOIP administration
  • Advanced PC hardware and software troubleshooting skills
  • Strong leadership, communication, and customer service abilities
  • Ability to research network issues and present solutions to IT leadership
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Comfortable with physical requirements (cable inspections, lifting up to 50 lbs.), occasional travel, and monthly on-call support

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the site IT SME and liaison between IT and Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, and other functions
  • Translate business needs into IT solutions compliant with global architecture and governance
  • Manage IT asset lifecycle and maintain inventories of hardware, software, and licenses
  • Lead projects and collaborate with global IT teams on rollouts, initiatives, and policy implementation
  • Identify opportunities for technology improvements to enhance operational efficiency
  • Lead and develop the site helpdesk team, including off-hour support coverage
  • Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure, including PCs, laptops, networks, and systems
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and provide troubleshooting, upgrades, and user support
